I am fascinated by the little offerings people leave in the landscape. It may be stacks of stone along a creek bed or, as is the case here, more elaborate offerings. In each case, I am trying to catch with the camera the oddity of their locations. The cross beside the chain link fence; is it a grave? The cloth elephants I found hanging in Cherokee Park; what are they meant to signify? The statues of Ganesha I found beside the Ohio River; who thought to put them there, and what is it we who encounter them are meant to think?
